At the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, the Cube team worked in partnership with the event’s official merchandise partner and provided bespoke merchandise structures, shop fits and branding at venues, fan zones and city centres across England and Wales.

In total, Cube supplied 23 merchandise retail structures, in a variety of sizes, and rebranded merchandise stores at each of the event’s 11 venues. Optimum visibility of each store was ensured using eye-catching gable signage, flags and blimps.

Of particular note were the bespoke builds within the Jardine suite at the Oval and in the exhibition space at Edgbaston.

In addition to the merchandise structures, Cube also worked in collaboration with technology experts Smart Cricket, for whom it built bespoke exhibition stands to showcase the company’s new BatSense cricket sensor.

The units were deployed at 8 venues and were utilised to demonstrate how the use of smart cricket technology can help analyse and improve a player’s batting swing. Supporting the official launch of this high-tech product, Cube organised a showcase press conference, attended by leading members of the international sports press.

A total of 48 matches were played in all, but the final, held at Lord’s, is for many the most memorable. Deemed as one of the most outstanding one-day internationals of all time, the England team, in front of their home crowd, beat New Zealand by the narrowest of margins – a boundary count, after both the actual game and the Super Over were tied.

Part of the Cube International group, Cube Partnership is at the forefront of redefining and reimagining the sports retail, ecommerce, licensing and merchandise industries, working with sports brands, lifestyle brands, teams, venues and events across the globe.
